It was a normal Sunday
I was leaving to go pray
My employee was waiting for me in my driveway
He showed me his medical reports and X-rays
His wife was in intensive care
He didn’t have any health care
He asked to borrow money until his payday
I told him I have no money to give away
Now get out of my way so I can go pray
After we said a prayer,Father asked,
We need new chairs, is their anyone
Who wants to invest in God’s way
I stood up and presented myself
The way everyone looked at me
I was so flattered that it made my day
The moment I was checking out the order for chairs
My employee’s wife checked out
From the world and flew away

Such poignant words… Helping another is as important, if not more, as supporting your religious causes directly.. I guess, if you believe in Him, he wil see what you do, and you get your Heaven points, maybe even double, for helping another…

My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don’t do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can that kind of faith save you? If you know someone who doesn’t have any clothes or food, you shouldn’t just say, “I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat.” What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? Faith that doesn’t lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead! (James 2:14-17 CEV).

Perhaps someday, you will find a chair of your own. Who will be sitting in it? Only you can know, in the approach… One wonders what to say…

One should just do what is right without bringing religion into it!

I loved your poem but I find it sad. The one who really needed help was discarded, :(.

hauntingly beautiful…where & how will we store up our treasures…and more importantly will we share the time & treasures we’ve been given so that they may be pleasing to Him as a Heavenly reward… Hugs!!

i think we show our faith in God through our deeds.. if one truly believes in the creator then one can see him in all his creations and not only in a place of worship

Wow, powerful and all too true. We sometimes forget that we are the answer to a prayer.

People can give their lives for religion ..but they don’t do what religion says ..to share and care

Sadly, this is an absolute truth; but, we must hold to hope. One can begin the ripple…kindness.
