REVISITING THE TRUTH

From the moment we take our first breath, to the moment we take our last and all the time in between is called LIFE. Everyone has a different and unique prospect about life according to their experience and the way they were brought up. It’s fast, short and unstoppable for some and yet others live a slow, simple and steady life. A thought ponders in my mind; do we really live our lives to the fullest of its capability? Real answer in my opinion is No. Breathing is not a determining factor of living life. Being rich doesn’t mean you are happy or being poor doesn’t mean that you are not enjoying your life. This reminds me of a joke I recently heard. It seems to be fitting for what we are discussing here. “An old guy asked a young lady to go out .she said umm… you are old, your head is full of grey hair. The old man replied,” If there is snow on top of the roof it doesn’t mean that there is no heat in the house”. Its funny how we judge before exploring.;)

” MOST OF US WANT TO BE RICH, PRETTY AND FAMOUS BUT HOW MANY OF US WANT TO BE  JUST HAPPY ? “

The truth is every one is going to die but not every one is going to live. Living is a choice we all have to make. Life doesn’t come with a manual that we get to read. We have to write our own. Our creator created us individually and artistically. He gave us some codes of living and some paths to follow. If we obey those codes and don’t stray from the path we will enjoy each and every moment of life and all the little adventures along the way.My grandpa told me an interesting analogy about cars and life. I never forgot how this comparison can relates to us. “When we buy a car, the manufacturer gives us a warranty and a manual on how to operate and maintain the motor. It includes directions on what kind of gasoline and engine oil we must use. It also provides some scheduled maintenance in order to maintain the vehicle to run smoothly for longer. These are some brief and important pieces of information provided to us upon purchase.” If we don’t follow these rules, it is 100 percent our own choice. The manufacture is not liable for any damages because they have already handed us a written warning with complete directions.

“THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT DAYS IN YOUR LIFE ARE THE DAY YOU ARE BORN,AND THE DAY YOU FIND OUT WHY? ” MARK TWAIN

God created us very artistically. Each and every one of us is God’s masterpiece. God created us; he knows what is good and bad for us. God sent us a book and guidelines how to live in this world happily. He clearly told us what the consequences would be if we stray from the path. Can we still blame God when life takes a turn? Absolutely Not! Life cannot just be about giving birth, getting educated, getting a job, getting married, buying a house, having kids, getting old and Dying. Is that what we are put on this earth for? Animals seem to have a similar life cycle. Are all of our efforts through out our lives to be wasted and just end by becoming a part of a shallow grave?People say everything is destined and written. If everything is written then why did God teach us how to pray? And why do we bribe him by giving charity with an expectation of getting more in return? Every action has a reaction. God is able to change our life in a blink of an eye. A millionaire can turn into a beggar and a beggar can be a king within a blink of an eye. Have faith in him.

“MIRACLES HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THEM “

We read hundreds of books but we never have a chance to read our own self. We must all discover ourselves to find out what we want and give ourselves time to grow as individuals.

There’s a saying IF YOU DONT KNOW YOURSELF THEN WHAT DO YOU KNOW ?”

As I say each and every one of us is God’s masterpiece. We all have a purpose in life. The day we will find our purpose our life become meaningful .Its like the story of cat and rat … cat has a need that’s why it chases to catch the rat and rat runs to save its life. The purpose is more important than the actual need. When we do something against our desire that’s the time we become above the crowd. Imagine if Buddha, who was a prince, hadn’t left his kingdom his name wouldn’t be alive until now, he wouldn’t have billions of followers .No one know his dad’s name but his name will always be heard until the end of time. Everyone knows who Socrates is but no one know the names of jury members who sentenced him to death. We have to know how to sacrifice to become above the crowd.

The Bible says, DO FOR OTHERS MORE THAN YOU DO FOR YOURSELF “

When we pray for others then we don’t have to pray for ourselves. Isn’t it incredible? We don’t have to be rich or special to do something for others. Every moment counts. Even when we pick up a little piece of garbage from the ground, it is a form of contribution to this planet. Giving someone good advice is a charity. Treating others with good manners is a form of inner beauty. Do anything with a good intention make you feel good.

“LIFE DOESNT COMPROMISE WITH US WE HAVE TO COMPROMISE WITH LIFE “

1. Don’t be the first to end the relation …Let other  person decide. God never breaks relationship with people; we are the ones who decide to leave.

2. God gave us 2 ears and one tongue. so Listen more,  We build a bridge between people when we listen to them .

3. Nobody can guard your secrets better than you,if you can’t not hide them, nobody will .

4. If someone wants to leave you, let them go. If they ever come back to you don’t close the door on them.

5. Don’t disrespect anyone you will never look good by trying to make someone look bad.

6. Say thanks to God more often than complaining to him. If you don’t have faith then you have nothing.

7. Give to others, big or small even a penny goes a long way. Greed and happiness cannot live together.

Follow these rules above and you will always find peace and happiness.

  1. Yaz, really funny joke, I must use it somewhere, one of these days 😀 Except, unfortunately I have a full head of black hair with no grey and it would sound stupid even though it is likely some teeny-bopper is going to quote those very words to me if I asked her 😀

And er… Socrates, not Aristotle.. sorry… (and I guess we do know a few of the judges too).

What a lovely post.. thank you so much, Yaz

  3. Hello my friend
We all need a refresher, caught up in work, kids, getting thru life. Many don’t take the time to think, quite time. Who am I and what does God want me to accomplish in my life. I’ve made my share of mistakes, I believe asking for forgiveness with a clear heart is all God ask of us. I have found giving or helping others brings sunshine to my heart, nothing you can buy, out shines giving of yourself. Your beautifully deep post gave me several opportunities to stop and ask am I living my best life.
With God by my side and in my heart, the best life I can live. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
    Forgive?
    Your sister in Christ.

  4. Those are some great quotes. Definitely words to live by.

And regarding this one: ” MOST OF US WANT TO BE RICH, PRETTY AND FAMOUS BUT HOW MANY OF US WANT TO BE JUST HAPPY ? “

It’s interesting that so many people who have all those things aren’t happy.

  6. Well thought post, living life to our own satisfaction, I like being able to go to bed each night knowing I carry no guilt, my children are happy and striving for there own happiness, and I will awake to the love of my life and breath in and take on what ever the beautiful day has to offer….I enjoy the happiness with the sad times….joy and love….try to keep hate and hurt out of my life….sadness is inevitable no matter, the things in our life come and go like the tides on the ocean…..good post, made me reflect on my own journey, and see how much more centered I am at this time…thanks you…

  9. I agree w you,God can remove us any time. I think on such things. ” one can get hit by a truck or what ever at any given time. In the words of solomon. Vanity of vanities all is vanity. Beauty love faith is what counts amoung others. However sadly we all fall short and to a grand extent i do. But if we can stand to look ourselve in the mirror to be counted, at least thats a good step. Who knows where that could lead, on this intrinsic and literal journey of life.

  10. Excellent reasonings!
We certainly can make life complicated. It’s only been this past year that I have been applying much of what you said here. It works and I feel much better. I try to study the Bible each day. That is where the truth is.
    I appreciate your points #1 and #4.
I find jw.org to be a good place to find practical Bible info for spiritual health.
